Thuisbatterijrekenaar
A free home battery calculator for households in the Netherlands.
Thuisbatterijrekenaar is a free calculator, in Dutch, for homeowners in the Netherlands who want to know whether a home battery (thuisbatterij) makes sense for them.
Why it exists
The Dutch salderingsregeling — the rule that lets you offset the surplus solar power you feed back against your electricity bill — ends on 1 January 2027. The calculator works out what that costs you per year, what a home battery would save, the battery capacity it would take, and how long it would take to pay for itself.
How it works
- Six short questions: postcode, consumption, solar installation and household
- The calculation runs entirely in your browser. What you enter is not stored and is not sent to a server.
- Every assumption behind the result — tariffs, battery prices — is published together with the date it was last updated.
Independent
Thuisbatterijrekenaar does not sell batteries, and it is not tied to any energy company or installer.
Also on the site
- A knowledge base (kennisbank) with articles
- A page with daily electricity prices
